A Newfie walked into a bank in Toronto and asked for the loans
officer. He told the loans officer that he was going to Newfoundland
on business for two weeks and needed to borrow $5,000 however he was
not a depositor of the bank.
The bank officer told him that the bank would need some form of
security for the loan, so the Newfie handed over the keys to a new
Ferrari. The car was parked on the street in front of the bank.
The Newfie produced the title and everything checked out. The loan
officer agreed to hold the car as collateral for the loan and
apologized for having to charge 12% interest.
Later, the bank’s president and its officers all enjoyed a good laugh
at the Newfie for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral for a $5,000
loan.
An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the bank’s
underground garage and parked it.
Two weeks later, the Newfie returned, repaid the $5,000 and the
interest of $23.07.
The loan officer said, “Sir, we are very happy to have had your
business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are
a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found
that you are a multimillionaire.
What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?”
The Newfie replied: “Where else in Toronto can I park my car for two
weeks for only $23.07 and expect it to be there when I return?”
Ah, the Newfies….. See! Salt Beef and Black Horse beer is good for
the brain.

I guess thats what you get when you move into a new subdivision. Hateful is what it is. All thoes dump trucks and tractors and Landscapers…..goodgrief it is enough to drive ya bonkers.
The builder that is putting the house in next door has caused more grief than the house is worth. First of all they started framing at 5 am and didnt stop until 11 pm. Clearly they are on a mission to drive me crazy. Then it is the roofing and digging and holy cow the landscaping….they have burst my sprinkler system 2 times so far and I bet they do it again before they finnish. They had a guy come into our backyard so they could run the powerline from the box in my backyard and left a hole under the fence so deep that a damed labrador Retriver could fit through it……my dogs are the combined size of that dogs mouth…lol. We have lost Sophie and Abie through that hole a few times now.
On the bright side……my street is almost done.
Now if only FedEx and UPS could get their heads outta their asses and find the place I would greatly appreciate it.

WOW I didn’t realize it was so long since I posted an update…Sorry!!
Anyway…..the boys are back to school and loving it. “Chance is so sweet” says his teacher and of course he is workin it sumpin awful….lol. I went to school and had lunch with him on Friday. It was Grandparents day and seeing as how all his are in Newfoundland I told him that I would come instead. He thought is was Awesome…tee hee hee!!!
Dalton is ABOVE grade level aparently. I am a little surprised at that cuz he hates to read. Proud as punch of him though….lol. He is making loads of new friends and having a great time in 5th grade!!!
Craig is fixin to go home to Newfoundland next week for a huntin trip with his dad and is on a grocery mission for me. I have been scrapbooking and card making in my time while the boys are in school and enjoying the silence. *smile* Check out my Kreations over here!
The dogs are doing great too!!! I’ll have a page up for them a little later.
The neighbourhood is starting to look like a real community now. Soooo much construction since we moved in. The house right beside us is a 2 storey and the framing was done with a roof on in less than 48 hrs. Absolutly incredible. They are putting in carpet now and they only started 2 weeks ago!!
I’ll try to stay on top of the happenings of the Wandering Newfies from now on and if I don’t just give me a swift kick in the arse….LMFAO!!!
