Standards

As you may well know I am a former school bus driver. I was always amazed at how thoes drivers managed to maneuver these great yellow creations.
5 years ago I climbed aboard and imediatley loved it. My Trainer, Chris, and his trusty side kick, Rick, were Awesome. They showed me all the in’s and out’s and made it fun and enjoyable. Even the puke powder sounded interesting…lol. I learned so much from them. I even sent my best friend Angela to them to train her behind the wheel too. DOUBLE TROUBLE is what they called us…lol.
When we decided to move I was so sad to leave my job and all the little monkeys on my route. It was the one job that I had had that I actually enjoyed. I met so many awesome people and was challenged on so many levels. Expectations were high and I upheld all but one…..Foot wear! lol I could never conform to wearing shoes with socks and closed toes and heals. Even in the winter I wore sandals. I just about drove George and Lisa NUTZ!!!!
I did however obey traffic laws.
Well today was field trip day and that means a bus ride…..let me just say WOW THAT DRIVER SUCKED!!!! She is the reason why I am not allowing my boys to ride the bus to school this year. She blew through every stop sign and had to jimmy the breaks far to many times…thekids were hiting the backs of the seats in front of them. I am not kidding. In my entire driving carear I onlt hit the curb 3 times….she hit the curb at least 4 times in this one trip. I could not believe it. Even Dalton said she was a bad driver.
What gets me the most is that they are wanting me to retake my test to see if I meet their standards….what a joke.
I should be training them…..in basic traffic law.
In the mean time I will take the boys to school myself and make sure they are safe. Maybe some day I’ll go take their road test…..or not….lol.
